Working from visual memory, imagination and inspiration, Keith designs his scupltures from an acute awareness of his visual surroundings. Ideally, working from his client’s vision and even sketches, Keith carefully develops the life-like proportions and likeness of the scene as he sees it in nature.
Materials used range from cold-rolled steel to mild and stainless steel. All manipulation of the metal is done by hand only, eliminating the need for hammers and heat. All river rock is hand selected for its natural, organic look and feel from private properties throughout Northern California and streams in Siskiyou and Sonoma County.
Keith’s signature river rock design with roots brings nature to life through steel. Finishes consist of the artist carefully selecting, and then mixing die colors together to produce a natural color finish. The high quality finish is either an epoxy spray or a powder coating and is made to last generations.
